New u.direct Clients

u.direct consulting provides implementation consulting for clients starting out with the u.direct product. This includes reviewing how the degree completion planner works with your systems, and working with your staff to develop a roll out plan for your campus. The u.direct consultant can also provide training for administrators to learn how to set up and use u.direct on campus.

New u.select Clients

u.select implementation should go smoothly provided your campus is truly ready for taking on u.select. To ease your u.select implementation, an implementation consultant is available at redLantern to answer any of your questions or come to campus to help with your implementation.

Your institution will want to develop and implementation team to devise a roll out plan. This plan should include training advisors, educating students, and marketing u.select to students interested transferring to your school.

Part of the rollout plan should also include a plan for maintenance for u.select. u.select maintenance will consist of updating your degree audit and transfer tables as needed since they will now be viewed by students on the Web. The u.select administrator also needs to be committed to updating the information within u.select (course bank, programs, and customizations) at least once a term. Our consultant can visit your campus to help develop a strategic roll out plan and assist with implementing u.select on your campus.

New u.achieve Clients

The implementation consultant (IC) assists new clients with a “quick start” on their degree audit and transfer articulation projects. The IC serves as the transitional contact point at redLantern from initial purchase to workshop training to encoding of degree programs. The implementation consultant can help with these areas:

• Implementation planning , including pilot project selection and roll out strategy
• Help develop encoding strategies for degree programs, multiple majors/minors
• Assist with set-up of support tables, including COM tables and the convert, repeat and string tables
• Tips for exceptions, waivers, condition codes, markers, dual requirements
• Review of existing programs, requirements, and support tables
• Transfer articulation encoding strategies, integration with u.achieve, institutional reference table set-up
• Assist with requirements for interfacing with your student information system
• Audit appearance; both Web and print

Established u.achieve Clients

The implementation consultant (IC) provides advanced support for current clients. The IC can help institutions with the transition of version upgrades and advanced topics surrounding u.achieve. The implementation consultant can help with these areas:

• Recommendations/use of advanced u.achieve features
• Assistance with complex transfer articulation rules
• Encoding for NCAA Continuing Eligibility checks
• Mainframe to u.achieve conversion
• Version upgrade (new features)
• Interface conversion issues: mapping of SIS data, third party connections
